Each week you have a new dare for you and your spouse to do. Some are easy, some take more of an effort. The devotional itself doesn’t take much time to read together. We buy it to give at weddings too for the bride and groom! When I first saw that this was written by the Kendrick brothers, who are film producers, I was somewhat skeptical about their ability to write a Christian devotional book for days that would have a substantial spiritual orientation that could address the dynamics of relationships between Christian husbands and wives.
Much to our surprise, we have found it poignantly written, often with a literary flair that is both clever and insightful, always initiated with a biblical passage and a theme related to the nature of love in this case, the loving relationship that we uphold in marriage as Christiansand at the bottom of each page including a "dare" after the relatively short devotional text no more than five minutes to read.
Sometimes the the love dare day by day free download is repeated two or three times in a week, because the theme and issues being discussed are so fundamental to a loving and caring Christian marriage. We found it so enriching and challenging, that we have not simply read it day by day, but sometimes stay on one devotional for several days.

I loved it. My husband and I are enjoying the meaningful content of this book. I just went back to see if there is a "large print" version available. Sadly, there is not.
Even with glasses and plenty of light, the type is difficult to read. The lack of a large print option is the reason for the 3 starts. Otherwise would have given a 5 star. This is a really good couples devotional, there are a lot out there but this one to me comes off more up to date and relavent to issues that modern day couples face and incorporates passages and stories in the Bible that one can relate to and take something from.
My husband and I started on the Love Languages devotional and then moved on to this one after a year, and we are loving it just as much! The content is excellent, and reading a devotional together allows a little time each day to connect with God, and each other.
